Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an experienced songwriter?

No. You don't need to have lots of finished songs or consider yourself an "experienced" songwriter. You just need to want to write songs and be willing to work on them.

Do I need any gear or equipment?

Yes, but very minimal. You'd need an acoustic guitar and some kind of microphone for capturing your recordings.

What happens inside the Circle?

We have two live sessions per month with a monthly songwriting challenge, a community for sharing/feedback plus I'll be sharing my own songwriting and recording process in real time.

What if I cannot attend some of the live sessions?

If you can't make it to some of the live sessions then replays for all the live sessions will be available to watch at any time.

How much time do I need to commit?

There's no minimum amount of time you have to spend in the Circle. The more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it, but the idea is to help you make songwriting part of your life — not give you another obligation.

Do I have to share my songs?

No. You can participate as much or as little as you're comfortable with. But sharing your work is encouraged because it's one of the most valuable parts of being in a group of other songwriters.
